SALINAS ZAPATA, CUBA – April 2024

APRIL 13-20, 2024

$5,100 USD

The Cienega de Zapata National Park, where Salinas is located, is an enormous labyrinth of flats, bays and estuaries, that could not be fully fished in 10 trips. Bonefish, permit and tarpon are all available from this location, along with good sized ‘cudas, snappers, jacks. Even the odd snook will be seen here and there! This is a great trip for those who enjoy wading, as there are miles and miles of hard packed flats that offer both excellent footing and visibility. The average sized bone is 3-4 pounds with larger fish seen and cast to, daily. We stay right on the beach in Caleton at a nice little private hotel during the week that offers good food and service. The trip includes 5 days of fishing the flats and one day fishing the Rio Hatiguanico for juvenile tarpon and snook.

Guests can come in early to Havana to enjoy the city and I’ll be on site to show guests around starting on the 8th of May.
