Ireland is always one of my favorite weeks of the year and it offers very good Brown Trout fishing in a lovely pastural, countryside setting. This is a dedicated Brown Trout trip, where we are based in County Tipperary, out of the town of Clonmel, for the week. I really like this part of the Ireland because it offers the best rivers in the country to specifically target Browns in the 1–4-pound range. Larger fish are routinely caught and guests will be using dries and nymphs in most river conditions encountered on this trip. The rivers range from small intimate chalk stream like creeks to more substantial bodies of water, like the River Suir.  A day or two of Atlantic Salmon may be possible during the week and this will depend on whether the fish have entered the rivers when we are there.

You don’t need to have Irish heritage to appreciate and enjoy the special warmth and hospitality of Irish pub culture and I’ve been fishing in this part of Ireland for over a decade now and have developed some great friendships that will be utilized to give guests a taste of Ireland that is almost impossible to access, unless you are a local.  From live music on Monday nights at Bakers, to the Guides Night Dinner, where all the guests socialize with the guides on a steak dinner pub crawl, the week is geared towards fishing and socializing in some terrific social environments, including the most comprehensive Irish Whiskey bar in the country.

Guests will in and out through Dublin, which is a fantastic city, and well worth a night or two on the front or back end of the week. I will be on site hosting the week.
